Just tried to swap out my PCM and I ran into problems trying to remove the white plastic clip holding the PCM in place. Has a small screw at the top I just couldn't get ahold of with anything I had tool-wise.

Seem to need a small maybe 8mm metric box wrench to loosen it. Sound about right? How does the clip come off? Pull it out and down, or what? Will get some small metrics and try again - just wondering how to remove the white plastic clip once I get small bolt at top loosened? Thanks!

TAM, the hole where the screw/bolt that holds the plastic clip is actually a slot. Get a pair of pliers or something and pull the clip toward you. It may take some effort but it will slide out.

Don't forget there is a bolt on the other side of the firewall that holds the pcm to the connector. Don't try to just pull the computer out until you unscrew the bolt back there.

Yeah, it was obvious it was a slot but I thought I had to take the screw out or loosen it. Thanks. Clip looks like it extends down a little into a recess at the bottom. Any comments on that aspect? I had the bolt in the front out and just screwed it back in when I ran into problems with the small screw/bolt.

I was monkeying with a screwdriver when I just decided to yank that sucker out. It's in there tight but it'll come out.
