Hi, I have everything ready to go and mate the tranny back up with the engine. i have that side of the engine lower than the rest to make it easier but the tranny just doesnt want to mate w/ the 2 dowels on the block. I tried, twisting/pushin like everybody says in recent posts but its not working. I zip tied everything out of the way so its a clear shot up to the block but i cannot get this for the life of me. any body have any tips or suggestions. Im putting the tranny on my jack and jacking it up so i dont have to man handle it up all the way. TIA

I have:
-put the trans into gear to turn the input shaft slightly
-turned it by hand then repeated till i got it..

It can be a pain, but twisting it really the easiest way...

I can get my hand up in there kind of and feel that the shaft is inbetweeen the PP forks but not going into the clutch disk like it should.when you say twisting it you mean just kind of rocking the tranny back and forth until it pops in?

Are you sure the disc is lined up? Is the TOB all the way back? NOT meant as a smart a$$ remark either.

and also are you using your old transmission and engine?

if its a different tranny, make sure there aren't dowel pins in that, hey I see that a lot lol..........

make sure everything is installed properly..... redo it all if you want to, its not hard while the tranny is out....

Yes, the 3.2 was already swapped into the car, i took the tranny out, installed a fidanza flywheel, spec II clutch, and all the other stuff including oil pan gaskets, rear main seal, and pick up tube gasket.... Im gonna go out and give it another try, if not, i have 2 buddies coming over tomorrow, all 3 of us can get it in for sure i would hope
