Trouble installing A-pillar triple gauge pod

I recently bought an A-pillar gauge pod from "Ford Performance Specialists" for my '93 MTX, and it just doesn't seem to fit. At all. I tried it with the old trim and without.

I was just wondering if anyone has ever purchased one of these and had to cut or bend it in some funky way to get it to fit, or if it should just fit in regularly.

Should fit with no problems...Just return it
