I bought mine from a local performance shop (dual gauge). IIRC, it is made for the 95-97 Mustang hardtop (I'm sure those years aren't exact, but close). Fits almost perfect :)

I decided I did not like those and instead made a quad (needed a 4th face anyway) and installed it in the spot where the ash tray was. Works very well. Just something to thing about.

Is there any ryhme or reason to what guages people choose? Is there a reason to monitor say air/fuel above volts? How does everyone weigh the importance or is it simply what looks good??

I would definitely add oil temp OR water temp in a 3 gauge pod. OR maybe oil pressure. :nut:
Its all a matter of preference.
Don't waste your $ on A/F unless it is a wideband 02, which is $300 minimum. The cheap $40 gauges are simply a light show, nothing more.
I plan on getting a W-02 gauge, but it will not be one that will go in a gauge pod.
I got the tranny temp. because our trannies aren't known to go much past 100K miles, if that.
I got the volts gauge because of the VAK.

I have not forgotten the request for a photo of my 4 face set that I put in the ash tray area, I just have not yet had a chance to take a new photo of it, and I cannot find the old one. I will try to get to it shortly. The instruments I installed ar:

Oil Pressure
Oil Temperature
Transmission Fluid Temperature
Voltage.

All are useful. American cars are horribly under instrumented from the manufacturer. In fact, this is now becoming so for all car makers, not just US. Its a shame. Any vehicle should come with fuel, cooling water temp, oil pressure, and voltage as minimums with speed and rpms as standard, and sports oriented cars should also have at least oil temp additionally, IMO.

OK, I took a photo. Now I just need someone to remind me how to post a photo to a post on this site. I think I last did it three years ago, or maybe more...

OK, this is the photobucket location for the photo of the 4 gauge panel that I just uploaded:

I am still willing to upload it directly here, if someone wants to remind me how to do so.

PS: I just tried that, and it works, but it also has the photos of my Star that I posted up there some time ago, so you get to see it too. :)

You've got to please the masses if you want to sell cars. Too much instrumentation can be overwhelming for Soccer Moms, you know?
