well i did the front 60k and suspension and went on a 1500 mile roadtrip. all went well for the most part except now my power steering fluid is leaking on the cat after the y pipe, and i cant tell where it is coming from. i am thinking maybe return line because it seems to only drain the resivior to the return line. does this sound like pump or line i guess im wonderin

Whatever it is I would find it fast. PS fluid is flamible and my friends ps line busted on the track and there was a fire. Check lines first.

It exploded right on top the cat and there was a fireball that melted some stuff and lots of smoke.

Hydraulic fluid is especially flammable when atomized, i.e., sprayed into a mist. Since most failures start out as small hole in a line or at least involve a lot of fine splatter during a catastrophic failure, hydraulic fires are not uncommon.

Many SHO's have fallen victim to this very problem. It's hard to say where the leak is, but get under the car with everything clean and start it.
A few possible places for a leak to occur are:
1: 2 connections at the resivor
2: 2 connections at the pump
3: 2 connections at the rack itself
4: 2 lines with connections at the cooler
