Hey everyone, new SHO owner here. So I picked up a 2013 SHO non PP with 28k on the dash about 2 weeks ago, whenever I go to launch the car it rolls out about 60 feet then feels like you slam over a speedbump. Also while cruising it sounds like the transmission is whining. Any thoughts?

Thanks,
Robert

It should still have warranty, so have the dealer look it over.

Trans/PTU would be my guess, but like ruby said, take it in!
Yeah that's what I figured, I wanted to know if any of you have experienced anything like this. I leave Wednesday for a 5k mike road trip hopefully it doesn't leave us stranded.

Drive conservatively would be my only suggestion, or better yet, if you can pop for a rental ...

Go to owner.ford.com and verify that your SHO was not on the recall list for halfshaft disengagement, or if it was, that it has been addressed. Just need your VIN.

Otherwise, could have the need for a valve body modification per TSB 11-12-10 (even though it does not cover 2013 MY).

Thanks I appreciate your advice, when I purchased the car I extended the bumper-to-bumper warranty to 100k so theoretically whatever it is I should be covered.
