I would recommend a South Bend Stage 1 Clutch: SHO Source

The weak point on the stock clutch is the straps which can give way. I had a stock clutch fail after only a few hundred miles due to the straps. I have been running a Stage 1 clutch since then and it has worked great.

Is the cryo treatment really worth it since the clutch is a wearable item?

Asking the salesman if it's "worth it" might not get you the most reliable information.

There are several people here on the forum that can both sell you an MTX and weld or ring the diff for you.

I found out the pressure plate was cast if that helps? I really wish i could find a used qualfie/wavetrack and not just weld the pins Its just hard spending 2200-2700 for a trans, welded diff, clutch labor and flywheel.

That is way too much money for that job!

Diff was not welded, it is a qualfie.
