transmission fluid?

what type of trans fluid goes into 1992 mtx5? Mine was low but shifting fine, topped off with dex3, now very hard to shift. please help ASAP!!!

Service manual says synthetic Mercon in the MTX-IV.

Plenty of discussion on this recently. Please page backwards several pages or SEARCH for "transmission fluid"
