Ok, I melted the pump seal on my 99 SHO and am looking to get another trans. Me and a friend will be going to the salvage yard in a few weeks to hopefully find another SHO to pull it out of. Now the problem is I don't know if the place we are going will have any V8 SHO's or not. So what I'm looking at as a possible option is getting one from a 3.0 DOHC if they have any with a good transmission. My question is will it work with the SHO? I'm don't know if there is any difference in gear ratios or not, I know the #.0 DOHC should bolt up, I'm not sure about the torque converter though.
So if anyone could help me out with these questions that would be great.
