I know we have gone over this many times, but it still is a huge help for new owners. It should make a big difference in the way an MTX shifts.

"SHO Transaxle Drain Plug Installation"
Install the drain plug, then refill the transmission with about three quarts of good automatic transmission fluid. The fill plug is the 3/8 ratchet drive pipe plug about mid way up the transmission side facing the radiator.
Drive it a couple of weeks or about 50 miles.
Drain again and then refill with about three quarts of quality synthetic ATF.
Do it again in 30, 000 or so miles.

the new fluid helped it goes into 1 2 3 4 5 alot better than befor it now grinds into R i can get almost 2 quarts in it! help
How did you drain it? Unless you drilled a drain plug in it, you will not get 3 quarts out. Since reverse does not have sycronizers like all of the other gears, the new, smoother fluid will not 'cushion' your reverse engagement as much. If you shift into second before going in reverse, it should help a bit.
