Im already saving for my tranny rebuild, and have done alot of searching and reading on the subject. It seems to be a relatively minor expense compared to the cost of the tranny rebuild itself. I have read if you find the right guy and put in a shift kit, they can pretty much make the tranny bulletproof. If you buy Atlanta, Doug Lewis, at FPS is supposed to rebuild a mean tranny. hopefully when mine goes I will be in Houston, so Atlanta will not be too far away.

Take care

Well, the tranny guy drove my car today, I was in the passenger seat,(not use to that seat), anyway he said it didn't seem like I had a tranny problem. He noticed a skip when the engine is idling, I said I had a coil that was going bad, been that way for a while, not a constant skip but a skip every once in a while, so he says my problem was not the transmission but is from a misfire. I then took my car to autozone and used their meter thing and didn't get any codes  , go figure????
So the tranny guy recomended someone to change the coils, cheaper than a tranny rebuild, so I will have my car checked out again and go from there.
One thing at least, he commented on how clean my car was which made me feel pretty good, and when he punched it and it took off, he grinned and said, "I don't think you have a transmission problem at all", the car does take off pretty good.
