I overhaled my bad tranny last night and did a mock up transgo install on it to see if this is something I can do my self and things went very smoothly so i'm going to tear into the good one today and get everythinbg done but I am having some issues finding gaskets for the valvebody, do the valvebody gaskets get replaced or do I reuse the old ones? the only gasket I can find avalable is the side pan gasket, I need to know ASAP because I need to start this right away.

I decided i'm going to reuse all the gaskets on the good tranny since it apears that it was just rebuilt, everything came apart really easy and it is spotless inside and none of the gaskets were damaged at all. the only 2 problems are I lost the 1/4" steel ball so I need to get one tomorrow from the hardware store and I don't have any torque specs for reasembly andhtough all of the valve body bolts were at 42 inch pounds comming off so I might go 35-40 putting them on unless anyone has and links or specs they can help me out with.

by the way the old tranny failed because the oil pump splines srtipped on the pump side (the female ones) all of the friction material looks really thin and has maby 1/32" of material on them, how much do they come with?
