Just wondering, when these bolts are put in, should there be some lock-tight or anything on them? The reason I ask is because I had my 94 ATX up on the hoist yesterday putting in a new fuel filter and while under the car I did my usual visual inspection and noted a pan bolt missing!! So I quickly grabbed a 10mm socket and ratchet to check the others. They were ALL loose, not really bad but loose enough to concern me. I checked the fluid level and topped it off but now I'm concerned these bolts will back out again on their own. Any suggestions?? frown

There is no need to put anything on the bolts. The torque specs for the pan to case bolts are 9-11 lb-ft. So when properly tightened the bolts will still feel "loose." If the pan gasket has been in use for more than 10+k miles it has probably shrunk. As for the missing bolt, It's possible it was never tightened to begin with, and vibrated itself out. The pan should still seal with one bolt missing, just keep your eye on it.
