My 93 ATX just sh** the bed yesterday and had to have it towed home. I was at a light 2 minutes from my house then it started bucking really bad so i pulled it off in a parking lot. I knew it had to be my trans. So I slowly tried getting into gear nothing would not move even with a 4k rev. it only drives forward in neutral????

Theres no clunking banging ect. It just does not move I'm not to good with transmissions any help or input is appreciated.

That sucks man. I remember when my 93 quit, it started leaking fluid really bad. I drove a 94 yesterday that I was going to buy and the trans was shot. I wouldn't even get out of 1st gear. I was driving 30mph in a neighborhood taching out at 5k RPMs. I passed on the deal.

I paid $2200 for my 93 rebuilt at AAMCO back in 2000.

Did you check the fluid? If so, did it smell burnt?

bad tss or vss should still allow the tranny to shift well enough for the car to move just fine

and all of somedudes last 5 automatics made some sort of horrible noise when they broke, so im wondering if its a wiring / solenoid problem ?

pulled my codes today and got:

649- (M) Transmission EPC system failure - Transmissioonnns
638- (O,M) TOT sensor is/was low or grounded - Transmissions
639-(R,M) Transmission Speed sensor (TSS) circuit fault - Transmissions

As I said I really never messed with transmissions.

I had a bad speed sensor on my 94 atx and I could not drive it change that sensor and the tranny temp sensor and see what happens they are cheap parts.
