This is what happend on my 91 plus, now i have never heard or seen this happen before, all that i seen is that the pins in the diff. blow out the side of the housing, so i thought that i would post this to see what you guy would think what would cause this, i didnt do any burnouts or poping the clutch, this happend right when the secondarys opened up at 4 grand in second gear. it sucks the big one, but i was thinking that maybe you guys would have a blown tranny that would have a good input shaft that i could get off ya, if ya do that would be great,:thumb: take a look at the shaft on my site, i cant figure out how to put pics on here sorry,

:oogle: Wow, ummm, wow. That sucks man. Post in the Wanted To Buy section of the forum for the input shaft. I have a spare, but have no clue where it is in my garage. You better start saving your pennies for a Quaife, or at the very least, have the stock diff reinforced to avoid the "hole through the case" mod.:thumb:

How do you reinforce the stock diff.?:oogle: i was thinking of using the TIG welder and put a weld bead over the pins, that way if the roll pins give way the big pin wouldnt go flying out of the side. I have had that happen on my 93 SHO. if you ever find that spare one that is in your garage let me know i will buy it off you, thanks

We picked up a 92 that had the input shaft seized. What we figured was, the gal that owned it had a new clutch installed and the shop forgot to refill the tranny or mucked up the the seals on the reinstall and it all leaked out.
