Tranny Flush.... Pros and Cons

I think my tranny needs a flush... sometimes the gears feel a bit tight to get into. What are the cons of a tranny flush though? I have heard that they can totally screw up your tranny. Also, what brand of fluid should I get?

You have a 5 speed so you really can't do a flush like on an automatic. You just drain the fluid and refill. So all the pro's and con's you've heard about don't apply to your car. The recommended fluid for 89-91 MTX cars is Type F ATF.
