1,000 miles are on my tranny mind yall. I started my car this mornin and let it warm up before I headed off. I got outside 10 min later to see a friggen puddle of tranny fluid on the ground. Under closer inspection its coming from the torque convertor. Theres also tranny fluid blowback all the way to almost the exaust tips so it probobly started on my way home down rt 53 last night.

Whats the damn deal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good thing is it going to Ford tommarow and I have a 2 year 24000 mile warrenty.

Shit man, the gear **** would NEVER come out of there. It's that crappy ATX tranny fluid you are using. That stuff is like water! Here's what you do:

Mix ingredients together and fill tranny:
- 2 quarts of GM synchromesh
- 4 quarts of Dexcool (helps cool the tranny)
- 2 quarts of gearlube
- 1 quart of slick 50 transmission additive
- 1 quart of 5w 30 motor oil
- 1 quart of B&M trickshift

Hmmmm, that's only 11 quarts. Ummmmm you got orange juice in the house? Pour a quart of orange juice down there too. Now to get this all mixed in properly, you want to stick the car in neutral and rev to the rev limiter, then put the car in gear. Repeat 4 more times. Enjoy.

Important note: Do not use any kind of tranmission fluid with Mercon on the label!

 :D

Sounds like they may not have torqued down the pan properly or you may indeed be leaking from the bell housing. I'm not sure how why you think it is leaking out of the torque converter specifically as you can't see it. No worries. It's covered under warranty.

Yeah im an idiot about the torque convertor thing, im not to keen on this. Any way I took the car in and they pinpointed the leak to the tranny cooler line. The charge for that job was a whopping $93. I got charged nothing due to the warrenty.
