I know that the tranny heat exchanger mounted in the radiator acts as a tranny fluid heater in cold winter months, and as a cooler in the summer months. What I want to know is would it be better to bypass this and just use the auxiliary mounted tranny cooler mounted in front of the radiator instead? I live in NC and it doesn't get bitterly cold in the winter months, but is does get into the teens occasionally. TIA

I did just come back from the Hayden website....they recommend that you hook it up to the normal factory setup in the winter temps as the cooler can get really cold and actually gel up your fluid.

I am looking to buy one of these for my atx. Right now I have no radiator cooler, just the tranny cooler up front
