I agree with Silvapain. Toy recognized an engineering flaw in their engines. AND it looks like they are taking steps to fix the problem.
That takes commitment to your customers. And realizing that your future profit depends on your current customer service. (hello ford wake up)

Acknowledging a problem is soooo much better then denying that there is a problem. We teach our children to apologize and fix their mistakes. Why do companies not have to do that?

I might go look at a Toy Prerunner now, along with a Ranger.

What did Ford do?

What did Ford do?

Well Ford, GM, and Chrysler for well over 80 years thru up's and downs have paid for the food, clothes, and school's of many of us and our children. And how do we repay them. we buy a Toyota. The problem now with the big three is not them it is us for allowing it to happen with cheap imports and poor governing of this country NAFTA is a good example. This is America and the language is english. And Dora is not allowed in my house untill she learns it.

If you can not beat them in a fight just buy them and that is what's happining to our country.

They are a company that is concerned about profit, period. They are not a person, they are not a charity. Ford/GM/Any auto maker couldn't give two shi%s about a persons well being. If what americans want changes, a good company will change to meet those new needs, not the other way around. Competition benefits the consumer. Its a shame that since the american auto industry is being mismanaged that people will lose their jobs, but nothing in life is fair.

Toyota is about as close to a person or charity as a giant corporation can be. They have never, in their entire existence, laid anyone off. They also pay their employees very well including incentives, options and a sense of empowerment that no other automaker can match. they respond to customer's needs and demands, and they are socially responsible. They are the paradigm by which other automakers should hope to aspire to.

They are running their company the way a company should be run. People, not profit, is their first concern. Higher profits come as a result of that mindset. That is capitalism at its rare finest. Toyota is beating the competition fairly. Thats it. Stop being so bitter about it. Its only good for you, the consumer.

And Toyota owns a large portion of Yamaha Motors.

So does that mean a large portion of the SHO cam problem is Toyota's after all they own a big portion of yamaha.

And one more thing. It is easy to do the right thing when you your not the one paying. Toyota says and I qoute "Toyota says the outside supplier of the camshafts has discovered the problem" So I wonder who gets the bill for the cam faild Toy.
