I just took the engine out of my SHO and I am going to be bolting up the subframe and maybe reconnecting the steering shaft. Will I need to reconnect the steering shaft to tow the car, or is it optional? Also, the wheels had lock nuts on them and I butchered the **** out of them. Can I tow the car without a tow dolly (ie: with just a tow bar), or should I go all out and just stick the front tires up on a dolly?

Grrrr, the farther this goes, the harder it is...

If you are going to be towing it on a dolly then it doesn't matter if the tie rods are connected or not. Save yourself the time and get the dolly.

In my experience, it is much easier to just tow it on a dolly. Be prepared though, as you will more than likely rip your front bumper cover if you're not careful. I did. Twice. On two seperate SHO's :(. Plus I destroyed two SLO bumpers off loading the cars from the dolly. squint
