I know how turbo's work, however, provided the turbo can hit X amount of boost, it should get there and the WG should keep it at X PSI.

Scott's turbo is small. He is running out of efficiency here.

There are a number of factors which can effect the equation. In my case, my WG is referenced from my manifold. Therefore, any efficiency differences with my IC, and/or with my turbocharger (which will again effect efficiency of my IC) can have an effect on my boost. Also, the biggest factor with my measured psi difference likely had to do with my boost controller. My WG function, as long as my BC is turned on, is entirely controlled by the Profec. To see the same boost @ 3000ft as I was seeing at 700ft (and I was told that the density altitude the day of the shootout was 4500ft), I had to change settings on my Profec.

Also, since I did not log boost, and since I can not look at my boost gauge the entire time, the psi difference was likely more pronounced at certain rpms. As the turbo has to work harder at the higher altitude, thereby increasing lag, boost differences were likely larger at lower rpms, while max boost was likely not as large a difference.

For whatever setting you have, the x amount of boost will control the WG at the point where you have the line connected to. Since you have your line connected to the manifold as you should, when you see x amount of boost (where ever your BC is set), the WG should do it thing.

Also, since I did not log boost, and since I can not look at my boost gauge the entire time, the psi difference was likely more pronounced at certain rpms. Welcome to what we deal with everyday. I deal with it across the RPM band.

13.749 at 106.XX tonight at bandimere. Won first place for the evening and got a huge trophy. I'll post pics tomorrow, or you can just watch the vid that jason posts up. altitude correction says that's a 12.81 at sea level. Somedude, You have some modding to be doing, cause I'm going for 12's at this altitude.

bring it on!

The next time I go to the track my goal is to break into the 12.5's and to see a 60' in the 1.8's. Eventually my goal is to beat the buggy. As long as 3rd gear will hold out I think I can do it if I crank the boost and throw in some race gas. I just wish I had a way to moniter knock.

I didn't think 3rd gear was a huge problem in the ATX like it is in the MTX.

mine doesn't strip like the ATX it just slips which causes heat which melts the sprag retainer which causes 3rd gear to neutral out which causes me to write a tweecer file the excludes 3rd gear in the shift schedule :) Not to mention the result of all this is slow shifting. I have no hard part failures to report as of yet (even at a very lean 20psi). Only clutch failures which cause other problems.

new numbers, and hopefully soon I'll be even quicker

13.678 @ 105.13

2.189 60' which is my fastest 60' ever. still on street tires, and at 5800 ft above sea level

For those that don't have experience with the affects of altitude... I just moved to Omaha, NE where my GPS shows me at just under 1,000 feet above sea level and although I haven't gotten on my car hard yet, when I want to pass on the freeway, 5th gear here now feels as powerful as 4th gear did in Denver (5,400 ft).

I feel like I did when I first supercharged my car years ago. The extra power puts a grin on my face. It's about a 3-4% loss in power every 1,000 feet you go (all my dynos ranged between 22-24% loss with the lower number being in the winter and higher in the summer.

I need to put an asterisk on mine too.

** 110 degrees of Texas heat.

Where is my scientific calculator?!

2 months and no entries!

common guys step it up :)

13.36 @ 107.9. 2.18 60'. 1200ft elevation.

Gettin' there but I got a ways to go. Hopefully come the cooler months, I'll have it tuned for methanol injection and running a bit more boost. If you didn't set the bar so high, I would not try as hard;).

Well, I guess 13.0 puts me at the #3 spot as far as ET but damn, TexanTony trapped 122! I'd say thats pretty damn fast.

Can you get me confirmation on the numbers? I am sure Jason saw the run as well, I just want to make sure before adding it to the list. Was that in the white car or the track car? Very impressive given the heat and elevation!

Those numbers were for the Silver track SHO.

I've not posted the White street SHO numbers which were a 13.9@105.

Attached is the scan.

thats more like a 12.99 at sea level right?

I don't think anyone is using the correction factors for different tracks. That said, I do think it would be substantially better at sea level. When I had the car in San Francisco for the convention a few years ago it felt as if someone dropped a couple more cylinders in the engine compared to Denver's thin air.

Well, it's time to update the quickest "Other" category.

This is My race against Nik97 at SpeedWorld this past Saturday night.

Nik97 vs tow oct 2008

Nick is in the left lane, I'm in the right. Unfortunately, I was using a calendar to measure my reaction time. Nick did surprisingly well considering he is carrying 1000 pounds more weight than The Other Woman does.

If I had let him drive her, he would of had her deep in the 11's, no doubt.
