Hack,

You got the Other Woman listed twice in the Soopacharged section, first and seventh. And I still think you ought to create a different classification for my highly modified buggy. It's not fair for me to have the top spot when all I'm running is the SHO motor and only weigh 2200 lbs. Just a thought.

Took the beast out to the drags at Infineon. Cool night, but 20-30mph headwind all night kept things slow. Stock cars were all running quite a bit slower than normal -- C5 vettes in the high 13/low 14s, Evos running high 14s @ 92mph, a SN95 stang with a newer motor ('03+ heads), hot cam, headers, etc. (claimed the dyno showed 295 at the rear wheels) running ~14.1, etc. I felt like the car did pretty well, but there's still room on the launch and I need to replace the clutch since hard shifts = clutch slippage for 1-2 seconds. Fine for road courses, but not so good for drag racing. Anyway, I'm car #141; a fellow BaySho owner is driving a gen1 (stock + Ypipe, basically) in the other lane. His best trap of the night was 89.something. Another guy with a gen 2, 3.2L, chip, Y-pipe, and mufflers trapped 93.something. The ATX G2 and G3 cars were all 85-87mph as well; it's a pretty slow track.

To think that I got a 96.3 at Sac Raceway on a great day (no wind, cool temps) with my old 3L motor and Y-pipe/exhaust mods only.

Anyway, this was my best run of the night (last run... car gained 0.125s over the previous run, which was 0.35 better than the run before, which was 0.35 better than the run before ... I had some pretty bad runs).

I'd love to run at Sac Raceway, but would need to put the battery back to stock, which is more work than it's worth (I've got a 3-digit trap speed now so I'm set :) ).

^^^ and that 13.85 is STILL untuned ... a 0.25x 60 foot, and a 660 foot in the 9.56x range

way better times / traps to come still

Pretty good trap lance, considering the conditions. FWIW I only ran my 89 once with the big cams. I only got 2 passes since somebody grenaded a motor on the track which took 1.5 hr to clean up. I had previously done a track day so the car was in "track mode" meaning V700 race tires, which absolutely suck when it's 50 degrees and cool. Anyway, my trap was about 102.xx mph peddling the throttle through 1st and 2nd (the other run I hit the hard rev limit so hard it put the EEC in "limp" mode). Stuff done to the engine was very close to yours, although I don't have as good of exhaust (big) as yours. Your car pulled very had at thunderhill (seat of the pants passenger) so I'm sure it would turn really good traps in good air.

Went to the drags last night

Well everyone I took my green 91+ to my local track last night. The conditions were great. Massive wheel spin in first and second even with the Nitto Drag Radials. Looks like I might have moved up on the list.

When do you hit the juice, top of second? Because your 1/8th is nothing to impressive, but your last 1/8th is amazing! 31.23 mph gain! That is incredible!

I tried hitting the juice right off the line, not a good idea. Massive wheel spin in first and second!

Have you gotten to tune the beast yet? I'd be curious to see if there's anything to be gained from some tuning.

Nope, no tuning other then the raised idle and rev limiter. Trapping 110 in third =

BUMP

Went to the drags Friday, and ran a 13.56@113
I bumped her up to a 100 shot and ripped the back seat out.
My Y pipe ripped off my header collectors and was dragging down the track.

Yes, I'd agree, Tom should be in a seperate non-SHO list. ;)

Of course, that puts me at 1, 2, and 3 with:

[email protected] (Sept 2004)

http://www.shonutperformance.com/SHO_NUT_12_second_timeslip.jpg

and yesterday's 2 runs into a heavy headwind with a slipping belt (so only ~12 psi) ...

Check out the 60' times ... I can't wait to try this track again without a headwind!

Yeah, and unless Josh has changed his ways... that car is still full weight (meaning is weighs MORE than stock :nut: )

Nice runs Josh!
