All the cams have been weilded so it's not that, and its not really a tick, but more of a buzzing loose rattle that I first thought was coming from the exhaust but is definatly coming from the engine... never done this before, the only thing that changed is recently I've been running 89 octane fuel in it, but other then that no lights no smoke nothing odd just a annoying semi loud rattle buzz... ideas??

Not at all familiar with the Gen III, so my "shot in the dark" question is does it sound like 'chains maybe need adjustment? (Tensioner)

I'm sure someone will step in here and fix you right up :thumb:

My PS pump makes a lot of noise. I changed i t out for a different one and it too is making noise. I suspect in my case it is air in the PS rack.

Just a thought.

Hardest part is taking the belt off and putting it back on.

Disconnect hose coming from the reservoir to pump at the pump.
Remove belt
Remove pulley.
Remove high pressure hose.
Remove 4 bolts that hold pump and bracket on. Take pump and bracket out as one piece.

Lower that corner of the subframe. It makes it much easier for first-timers.

Whats the process involved in that? It sounds.... difficult to say the least... is there any easy way to do this job? I have access to a full lift so it will be up in the air, so maybe that helps?

A lift and a tranny jack is the fix . Drop the rear subframe using the tranny jack . I pop out the tierod end (presure up and wack the spindle on that corner w/a BFH) , pop off the SARS sensors to not hyper extend and it`s all right there . For the top bolt I use a deep swivle socket (14mm IIRC) another swivle and a long extention .
Use a Westling alt and shop till you find one . You get what you pay for . Car Quest has them in my town .
