First run:
15.52@91 mph
2.38 60'
10.0 1/[email protected] mph
-Missed 3rd and waited 1-2 seconds to put it back in. Hence the low trap speed in the 8th and 1/4. My fault, not the tranny. Launch could have been better.
Second run:
[email protected] mph
2.56 60'
10.19 1/[email protected] mph
-Wasn't at all happy with the launch. Didn't shift it as quick trying not to miss any gears this time.
Mods:
2.5" dynomax single exit catback(bought the car with it, I like the stock duals
) with a resonator added.
cone air filter(got it for free) since the stock air box was badly cracked and letting air in behind the filter.
74k miles on the clock
All in all, I'm a little disappointed but satisfied my curiosity. I want to say I could have touched 14's by combining the two runs and shifting without worries but what it all comes down to is I didn't. 2nd time at a track, first time with this car. It's pretty nerve racking once you see the lights flash down.
I told myself in the beginning I'm just looking to see mid 90 traps.
BUUUT... on the way back home one of my friend's stock '05 rsx-s(m6) hit it at 70, then I hit it and passed him by 100. The look on his face was priceless
A $450 car passing an 18k car on the interstate. :woohoo:
rsx-s ran 14.7@96 that day. I could be wrong on the trap speed.
Oh yeah, I put the car on a scale and it was 3500 lbs with me in it and just over 3300 without. 1/4 tank of gas or so.
