I think I finally after 3 years am getting close to solving my hard start problem in the summer. This occurs when I drive for 35 minutes or more on a now 75 degree day or hotter and then stop for a short period of time say 10 min a the grocery store. From my previous threads and an observation last week, when I run the car as described, the fuel rail pressure builds to over 60 PSI. When I push on the Schrader valve, gas shoots to the top of the hood for a quick second then slows down. Once I relive the pressure the car starts right up. So I am going to replace the fuel injectors since they are 23 years old but is there something that should let that pressure go back to the tank that is not working properly? Almost like a pressure relief valve on your hot water tank? I am aware of a plastic part on the gas tank and the 2 round silver items on the fuel rail, the one being the FPR, what is the other one?
Thanks,
Todd
