You're doing it wrong, you can shorten them more and they still work!

Huh? All of the rear Intrax springs I've installed were loose on the struts. Its never been a problem for me; I just make sure they are seated correctly every now and then.

I've been wondering about this because when I had my Tokico/Intrax installed a couple of years ago, they were loose. My current Koni/Intrax aren't (rears).

so just put them in like that and the force will seat them flush to the mount? strange, guys at shop couldnt make sense of it

I only have that issue in the front because I have a cut coil up front... never had it in the rear... sounds weird.. maybe there were 2 different sets of springs made?
