Hey folks! What about SHONUTPerformance.com? He has Tokicos for the front and rear for $500, and prices usually include shipping. I'm asking because I am returning to the land of the living in about two months and will be doing as much upgrading of the suspension as I can afford. Also, are Eibach Pro-kits with Tocikos as good way to go?

Tokico and Eibachs are the best "quick fix" for the SHO Koni have set up time, cuting and finishing the inserts. Intrax have a bigger drop so they have other issues like scraping on speedbumps and tire scrub on wide tires. So if you want to bolt and go your best bet is the Eibach and Tokico.

:D New turn of events! I've managed to contact Power Garage again, but in Yahoo Messenger, of all things ([email protected]). Apparently the parts will have to be "special ordered", but I can still get the suspension from them. They quoted me a price, and I'm going to send a money order tomorrow. He/she said that because we're in the same state (CA), I will save on tax... Nonetheless, I'm purchasing Tokicos and Eibachs for $645 shipped. A bit higher than what other's have claimed in this thread, but pretty low overall. I'm really looking forward to ripping out my old saggy springs and bouncy struts!

Yeah, it kinda sucks that the price has gone up, but being that both the springs and struts are from the same place, shipping will be cheaper than shooting for the cheapest springs at one place, and the cheapest struts at another.

Tony, I don't know exactly where you are (I don't know where Belmont is). But if you're in So-Cal, you could just pick up an order through them. Their address is:
19528 Rogan Court, Rowland Heights, CA 91748

On a side note: What is required to be "promoted" from a "junior" member status?

Hi guys, Im talking to the power garage guy now. They are indeed $645 shipped for both. We've been talking for awhile, his name is Kimbo. He thanked us for all the business he might get from us. So feel free to email him or catch him on yahoo(ID: power_garage), his reply was speedy! this sounds like one of the best deals around thumb

Wow! I thought this thread was dead after Power Garage claimed they couldn't get our struts anymore. Even though I got mine a little cheaper, $645 is still a good deal. I'm glad PG came online for us.

Thanks to all those who continued to contact PG and convinced them! thumb

Look at the difference in price between what power garage is selling the Tokico HD's for our cars compared to what they're going for with all the other cars on ebay! eek!

Yeah, it really sucks that performance upgrades cost so much for us, but it's all about volume, and we don't have it. There are a lot more Civics and Integras running around out there than SHO's. Maybe that's not all bad.

But there are a lot of SHOs that need new struts because the cars are older than those Civics and Integras. Shoot, how many 89-02 Maximas are out there needing new struts? Do more 89-02 Maxima owners want to upgrade their struts than 89-95 SHO owners?

I agree it's gotta be a supply and demand issue. There's no reason the actual part costs more to make for the SHOs. Right now the vendors are milking us for these parts because the supply is being constrained. I think there is enough demand to justify a loosening up of that supply pipeline. I wish Power Garage or somebody would turn the screws a little bit on whoever is holding the supply back. Whichever vendor steps up to the plate to do this will likely be rewarded with a healthy volume of sales.

It's quite funny they are charging $645 now, because when I emailed them a while ago, they stated I could get it all for $620. I guess they see a demand for them now, and once again, the price goes up. bs

Hmm...started at $330 and they are now at $645. There is some price gouging for ya! Lets call the Prez and have him set a price margin on all sho Tokico struts. :D

But really, the prices seem to be getting closer and closer to some of the SHO vendor prices. It's getting to a point where it may be more beneficial to spend just a little extra so that the money goes back into the "SHO community".

$330 was a steal!

The $330 was for just Tokicos. The $645 is for Tokicos plus Eibachs.

Good point Rick! Still seems like the best price option for this suspension package. When the time comes to upgrade my factory suspension, let's hope it's still in this price range. :)

Yeah, what good is the price if "Kimbo" doen't reply to emails! rant

Why buy from people who don't welcome new customers? Talk about bad business practices, this guy/gal or whatever (California) could be raking in the moolah if they would just respond. Highly irritating.

Well whaddaya know , gripe and ye shall recieve.

I emailed the Power Garage about the struts again and his reply was that the cost would be $425.00 eek! and he said that the ebay costs were higher. That's considerably more than $330.00 but oh well.
