I FINALLY got the Tokico/Eibach setup I got through the group buy a while ago completely installed over the weekend. WHAT a difference in handling! :D No more mushy, bouncy ride! Corners are a pleasure! It took me about an hour and a half per wheel, working slowly and carefully. :thumb: Now for the oil leak. . . . . .

OK, here's the pic. Front is about 1/2 an inch lower, rear is about 1/2 an inch higher. The old springs were really saggy! ;)

Looks good :thumb:
I have the same setup sitting in my garage.
Out of curiosity, has anyone cut out a coil on the Eibach fronts?

If the springs were saggy, then the car probably wouldnt look much lower. My rears were sagging before I installed them and it didnt look much different. The fronts however, got lower. I love the look and performance of them. Your car's looking great!

Looks great. I have that combination on my car too and I love it. The drive down to SF for the convention was great; just the right amount of stiffness in the suspension without rattling your fillings out. Sorry Glen. :D His car is just right for the track though...

Tokico/Eibachs

Yes, Eibach tech support recommended Tokico, so I got them too.
Are your wheels polished? They look like real aluminum. Lots better than paint!! :****:

I had never done anything remotely like this before. I found the back 2 to be easier than the front 2. The back took me approx. 1 hour each side, while the front took 2 hours per side. I used the SHOTimes write up and my Chiltons for reference, and double checked everything twice!!! ;) Don't pay anyone to do what you can do yourself! I almost gave up on the install, but I persevered and LOVE the outcome!

Need help with the suspension upgrade

I recently just upgraded my stock springs and shocks. I added Eibach prokit springs and kyb gas struts and shocks. Everytime I have people in my backseat my car rides on the wheel well. Is this common when upgrading the suspension system? My car rides perfect with the front seats occupied but when people are in the back im constantly hitting the wheel well. Is it because my tires are too wide for my car? I have toyo t1-s with 17 by 9 cobra rims. If anyone can help me out with this problem please do so. I was told that I could replace the back eibach springs with the stock ones and that would cure the problem. I don't know if I want to do that though because I barely have people in my backseats.

17X9 inch rims. That's your problem right there.

Your post does not say which generation of SHO you own, but wider wheels and tires on a gen I is SURE to rub. If you have a gen I, you'll have to grind out some of the lip material at the top of the wheel well and also remove some of the metal and plastic at the front of the wheel well. You'll also find that the left side of the car will probably need more trimming than the right side. Go figure.

Good luck.
