Does the writing on the spring face in or out?

You should mount the strut to locate the metal tab between the the pinch lobes on the pinch bolt side (inside). The pinch bolt goes through the hole in the metal tab. Tokico previously put the labels on the inside, but they now figured out they would get better advertising with them on the outside.
