That Vette would get traded the next day. I knew there was a reason I never liked those things.:munch:

Love seeing this stuff Bob and hoping you make it to MinneSHOta next year. I got a free burger coming from a goof at work who bet me about 12 sec 5k pound Flex. lol
As for the vette, driver sucked, didn't you hear the exhaust and see the wheel spin to half track.

That's why I'm running DR's on the front now......

I checked the 2012 Vette out thoroughly when we were waiting twice for an hour. Had Goodyear F1 Supercar tires. The track was hard to figure for stick drivers. This was his best run of the day... Others were around 13.4 due to launch issues. Car had MFG plates so was owned by GM..... Makes the win even more sweet!

Another guy, who I ran 0n my 3rd (slowest) run, had a Z06. He bogged, and I had him at the 1/8 mi... and he went on to win by several lengths with a speed of 122!

If you watch the video that follows mine automatically, the blue vette, with a Formato tune - HP Tuners and a few other tricks... turned a 10.9!

Guy was 1/2 my age!!!!!

Heritage Edition Gran Sport disappointed me in the looks dept too... Considering it's a $5,000. option, and requires the $10,000. LT3 option, it is pretty bland. Interior is all black with red stitching that hardly stands out. Thought it looked great on the cover of AutoWeek... but not so nice in bright FL sun. Think I would save $15,000. and get an LT1 version and maybe spend the extra money on a cam, headers, and a 2300 Magnacharger.

Earlier in the day, I not only had a better time, but an even better start.... He really does need some lessons! He should be at least a 12.2 runner....

My Modded IA G8 has serious bogging issues at the start, due to needing a converter.... and I can turn 12.5's @ 114... which is what his speed was.

Scroll down about 2/3 of the way, there's a link to the "Corvette Fail Ford Flex vs. Vette" video.

Click on the red link to Devastation Motorsports U-Tube site.

It's the "Corvette Fail" video... And... if you want to see how a Vette is supposed to run, stay for the video after mine and watch the Blue 2008 LS-3 modded Vette (normally aspirated) turn a 10.9 in the lane the 2012 Vette GS Stick got the 12.98. The 2008 had catless long tubes, a cam, head and intake work by Jeremy Formato, with a Formato Dyno Tune, using HP Tuners software, that the car owner was able to adjust for track conditions.
