bang forthe buck which is the best tire that i should get for performance proce and everyday driving

Any Z rated tire you can find for a good price. There is a noticable difference between other speed rating tires and Z's. You can't compare. As far as brand goes, it comes down to preference. There are many good tire companies out there. Do a search to find out what other members have had experience with.

i would go V Rated........i mean when do you expect to do over 150 mph that you need z rated tires???? ****, get h rated for that matter, they can withstand over 140 or more, there just not ment to do it over long periods of time.
i got me the v rated pirelli p6000 sport veloce.

anyways what ever u chose make sure u get either a h,v, or z rated tire.

The extra overkill of having the Z-rated tires makes me feel a little more reassured when corning going 130MPH, I dont wanna be going the same speed with H-rated tires know i've reached there limits. Plus at the end its a little than a $100 difference for the only part of the car that touches the ground. I think its worth it, just my 'lil rant .

I know what your saying, i'm just weird that way and always put it in my head overkill is betta than to little. Just like ppl say the stock fuel pump is good enuff, but why not go with a 155lph or 240lph when its only about $10-$30 more than a stock one.

I totally agree. The little bit of money is definatly worth it. It never pays off going the cheap route.

Z rated tires often have harder tread compound and stiffer sidewalls to achieve their rating. The speed rating is for sunsained speed endurannce, not 30 second blasts to top end. Meaning a Z rated tire can sustain speeds of 150+mph all day long. There would be nothing wrong with taking a V rated tire to 145mph for a few minutes.

One of the reasons I get Z rated tires is that there the tread area is more durable than "lesser" tires. I've survived many Detroit craters that left others on the side of the road, and Detroit is no place to be stranded on the road!!!

It all depends on yor driving habits. If your always on the highway and your looking to get a lot out of your tires, get the H rated because they will last longer. The V rated will let you go faster but you lose on the treadwear.
Most H rated tires are designed to go a little bit over 40K miles where as V rated tires let you go up to 30K miles.

You sure about that? Treadwear usually depends on the brand and how soft/stiff they make there compound, my Z-rated Pirelli's have 280 treadwear, while w-v-z-rated toyo's still have a higher 320 treadwear.
