Not necessarily, but the Slicers are only 6" wide, and a 225 is about the widest you can fit on them. Even they buldge a bit.

They changed the tires and gave me a hefty discount also, so i guess i cant compain too much.

I know that 215's are recommended-are you moving up to 225 for better grip or just for a wider look?

Depending on your year and fender fit, a 225/55 will almost always fit, and they're a pretty close match to the OEM size for rolling diameter. They seemed to be closer to the strut than the fender.

If you go to a wider wheel or change the offset spacing, 225/55 might rub on a Gen II, mine did on the left rear with the 7.5" wide wheels with any weight in the back seat. I trimmed the fender inside lip to the middle of the spot welds and that solved just about all rubs. A couple of millimeters more offset inwards and it might have been perfect.

The biggest I've seen reliably reported is fitting a 235 width, generally 50 or 45 ratio. If you go to a 225/60 or taller then you're really close to interfering with the spring seat.
