Hypothetically, let's say I got a set of chrome GENIII rims with Goodyear Eagle GS-C 245/50/16's already on them. I want to put these wheels and tires on a 1997 GL instead of a 97 SHO...will there be a rubbing or strut problem, and if so, is it correctable? This is ALLLLL hypothetical.

I know at least one 3rd Gen SHO owner on here had 245/50/16 tires on factory wheels and didn't have any fitment issues with them.
I would imagine they would fit the non-SHO just fine, too.

It doesn't matter wether it's a SHO, an SE, and LX, or a GL. Fitments for tire and wheel clearance are identical. If they clera on the SHO, they will fit the GL. thumbs_u

::breaths huge sigh of relief::

Thank you so much. This is the first step in my demented project. Once my motor goes on my GL, you can only guess what engine and transmission I am dropping in. I know I'll need more than a new computer though...but it is still cheaper than buying the Marauder I wanted.
