Dale,

I recently did the hub on 92 and the studs were shorter, but the longer studs didn't have any more threads than the shorter ones. They just had a pilot, or longer non-threaded end. Obviously in this case I had the same thread engagement with the old and new studs, so I used the new studs.

Now a few years back I got a hub for the SHO that had way shorter studs, and I only had 2-3 threads of engagement, so I used the old studs from the other hub. :thumb:

these hubs dont have pilots on the studs. its not a necessity but i do like having a pilot on the studs. the 1/2" difference is in thread alone, not including the pilot.

its a good thing i have a second set of knuckles, now i dont have to buy studs.
