Can anyone tell me if there is some kind of washer between the timing belt idler pully and bracket on my 3.2? I can't remember if there was one there when I took it off.

Also, if my timing belt has no marks on it to line up with my cams, does it matter how I put it on?

well i wouldnt put one on without any marks on it... if there's nothing left, then chances are its stretched and too old anyway. But if you dont really care i suppose you could try it without.. assuming everything is PERFECTLY where it SHOULD be timing wise, if you keep the far right side, and the top parts of the belt tight, it should be right. If not, then its off a tooth on the bottom more than likley, and you will have the joy of taking off the covers all over again. Or get a 40 dollar belt and be done with it. :)

You can buy new belts with out the marks there not 100% necessary. They just help. If you align up the marks on the cams and have the crank sprocket in the correct place all will be fine. The marks just help to make it more fool proof.

make sure you rotate the crank 2 revolutions after you install the belt to make sure the marks still line up with the reference marks on the sprockets on the rear timing cover, and the crank sprocket with the mark on the oil pump.
