looking for best performance tire. I live in South Carolina so I don't have a real winter. I try to go to the track as often as possible. Looking at continental extreme contact, f1 super car, and bfg comp g force. Any suggestions

Conti DWS are exceptional.

You may want to consider the Nitto NT555R's as well.

Especially since you don't have the typical winter issues that others experience.

Michelin Pilot Super Sports have traditionally been at the top of the summer tire heap, but the other tires in your list are very good as well.

Kinda leaning that way

I love mine so far. I had the Goodyear Eagle F1s on originally, but like these a lot more. Obviously people may call it a "compromise" from great summer and winter performance of separate tires/wheels, but I'm not taking the car to the track or anything, and if it's super ****** weather in the winter, I probably won't be driving.

Which version of the Goodyear Eagle F1s? Was it the ones that came on the car factory because I think those were F1 Supercar tires

Saying Goodyear Eagle F1 tires is the same as saying you have a Ford Taurus. There are many variants of the F1 tire just like there are variants of the Taurus. The F1 Supercar are different than the F1 GS-D3 are different than the F1 Asymetric (similar to how the SHO is different than the Limited is different than the SEL).

You are completely correct. I thought that I had specified the Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar, but looking back, I guess I didn't. They were from the factory.

I can also recommend the Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 tires. I've had them on my car for a few months now, and they are exceptional in both dry and wet conditions. they are basically re branded Bridgestone Potenza re003, a tire that is very popular overseas.

Here's a review from TireRack, I realize some new tires have come to market since then, but they are still a great choice for the price! Right now they are going for 138$ per tire.

I put on some General Gmax AS-03's, they are super quiet and smooth, great in the rain....we will see how they do in the snow this year. Can't be any worse than the bald firehawks last year. I put them on in April and have about 15K on them.

Damn good price. How do they hook

I have Gmax on my car also and couldn't be happier. Little louder than I would want but do great in rain like previously stated. First snow of the season tomorrow (remarkably late first snow) and will see how they do. As for you living in the south they wouldn't even be an option for you not dealing with snow. They are a great all season tire not a great summer tire. Had the nt 555 on Gto I previously owned. That's what I would go with if I was you. Great traction dry and drivable on wet roads.

Let us know how they perform. Have been eyeballing those for a set of summer tires.

I've had mine for a quite some time now, they are exceptional in the wet, and very grippy in the dry! I believe I have put about 3000 miles on mine so far.
