It's got a tick on the passenger side and barely hear it at idle, then it ticks more higher up in the rpm's to about 1500 rpm then goes away. Is this the timeing belt tensioner?

That is a good possibilty. I experienced the same noise and the tensioner is what it turned out to be. Have you tried to narrow down where the sound is coming from under the hood?

Yea it's comeing from the timeing belt end.
I tore off the top cover and could visually see the slack in the belt, it moves about an inch either way in between the cam cogs.

Now the fun of finding the correct tensioner.

did you see more slack when the sound was there and less slack when the sound goes away? I'm having a similar problem.

Is that the whole timing belt tensioner part?
Just the tensioner cylinder. The part that pushes the idler onto the belt.

was your timing off after replacing it. If so what did you have to do?
Not that I know of but while looking and makeing sure the belt was in the cogs, one sliped and threw the timeing off. I went ahead and re timed it, probly best to do or atleast check while your at it.

How do you retime it?
Well you have to locate the timeing marks on the cams and the crank and line them up with their marks. A book or picture would help you more.

The top cam cogs have a dot on them, you point them at the marks on the rear cover? The crank also has a dot that points at another mark.
Just look up directions for Changeing timeing belt, it will tell you everything.
