Thump?

I just started hearing a thump under the car when I am driving. it happenes at different times under acceleration or while I am turning its not real loud .and I do not feel it in the gear shift any ideas ? no clicking like a cv. Any help would be great thanks!94 atx

Check your Motor mounts and sub frame bushings.
My guess is the SFB's.

ok one side of the subframe is rusted so bad it broke anyplace i can get a replacement?

Huh , if your talking about the bolt , theres a Recall kit for 15$ at Ford's

Bushings ? check with Ford too (Gen 3 Taurus will fit)

Rusted with perforated floor? Good luck.

After replaceing the Drivers balljoint I started hearing a thump. Freaked me out for 2 days. Had my Brother bounce the car in he driveway so I could listen and narrow it down.

It was the plastic wheel splash shield "snapping" against the lower spring perch - at the front of the spring due to the splash shield not being lined up well.
