So I've got a Code 49 (SPOUT default to 10 deg. BTDC) and tried to look up information about this with the search tool. But it wouldn't allow "49" in the search, so I got nothing back.

I recently had a smog test and took out the SPOUT connector for the smog test. When I finished and put the SPOUT connector back in, it seemed like the car was a bit slower than normal. Unfortunately, I did not pull codes prior to the smog test, and am unsure if the 49 was there before the smog test, or showed up after. So I guess my question is: could I have caused the code 49 by doing this? What could be suspect in this case? Thanks.

And if anyone has any clue as to how to investigate a 66 (MAF Circuit below min. voltage) as well, that would be absolutely beautiful

If you pulled the SPOUT connector it set the SPOUT code if the SPOUT connector was returned, the car should not be much slower, the computer will have to relearn a few things after you clear the K.A.M. Clear the codes and see if they are back in a week.
