I did a quick search and found a bunch of posts regarding finding a new throttle cable. I was just wondering if anyone has found a replacement cable yet? My cables seems a little bit sticky, maybe even stretched some and when I **** it with Silicon spray it seems to be better for a short period. Then today I had the bright idea of trying to use Powdered Graphite. Has anyone else tried to use this method. I know when my son and I built his Pinewood Derby Cars, that stuff made the wheels spin forever (well not forever, but far longer than without it). Anyway, adding this type of lubricant (dry ****) may not have any adverse effects during cold weather like a wet lubricant may have. Anyone got any suggestions, comments, or words of wisdom?

Thanks,

Just find another cable at the junk yard. Its very easy to pull. If you can't find one, I'm sure someone on this forum would have a spare. I replaced mine about 3 years ago. ;)

Are you removing the cable to **** it? You might be able to get the **** to go deeper into the sheath with it removed. Maybe try a grease needle?

or you could clamp a rubber house over the cable sheath and use the other end of the hose on a grease gun, pump grease until you see a bit come out the other side... just do it slow and easy, and make sure the hose is clamped.
