Throttle Cable

Is the throttle cable the same between the MTX and ATX cars? The cable is about to snap on my MTX and the only spares I have is off ATXers. I don't want to pull in case it is different and I need to go find one... TIA!

Hmm, not really sure. Tho I do know that they are different on the 89-92 cars compared to the 93-95 ones.

Had my throttle cable snap going down the road the other day. went to salvage yard that i knew had a mtx 92 sho (i have a 90). guy didn't charge me anything. took about 5 minutes to swap out and it works perfect. just a side note - went by ford and looked up length on tc and they said 33 1/8 inches, but when i measured the new one it was more like 40 inches.

My throttle cable snapped also but its kinda hard to find a 92 sho in the junkyard. can any body tell me where i can get one online, or anyone on the forum that has one. I really need your help people. thanks
