Does anyone happen to know the thread size for the bolt that holds the idler pulley? My nut, washer, and metal peice that slips inside the pulley is sitting somewhere on Far Hills Ave in Dayton (yea, I heard some clinging and clanking around in the engine and I was like WTF mate? and then, FLING! and parts are flying out from under the hood as I'm driving...never had that happen before)...I went back and picked up the pulley...which is seized up.
I just got that pulley (from Fred last Thursday)...but have seemed to discover that my new battery (got about a month ago) is leaking acid onto the pulley which is in turn seizing up my pulley...which makes the alternator no worky.
This is for the pulley that tightens the belt for the alt/ac on a 3.0
In the past 3 weeks or so, every vehicle I have driven has broke in some way or another...never left stranded, just iritating things that go wrong and will eventually render the vehicle un-driveable (if thats a word) ... whose car can I borrow???
The weirdest part, is its the most random things you would never suspect to go wrong.
...thats all I have to say to my vehicles right now...
Thanks for all help...
