OK, so I've had too much time on my hands the past couple of days. It got me thinking.
The reponse from you folks in attending these breakfast meets has been great, well '06 was down a bit compared to '05 but attendance numbers aren't whats important anyway. I think there have been folks here from every state in the North East. Believe me, it is appreciated to see that sort of interest.
Anyhow, since things will begin to wind down eventually over the colder months I wanted to throw an idea on the table for you folks to mull over and we'll see if it's a good one or a bad one.:oogle:
My though is this, We've had folks drive to the Walploe meets on a regular basis from points all over the North East. We schedule meets from April to September (this year and last). Why not spead things around, If a point person from each state stepped up to find a location it might be possible to have a breakfast meet in a different state each month. The winter months are a great time to plan it. It would mean that someone from each state, or as many as possible pick a month between April and September and be responsible for finding a breakfast site and planning a date.
There are pro and cons to this, and I'd like to know what you think of the idea. :thumb:
BTW, Chris (Ace) its not my intent to make an end run on ya but we discussed this a few months ago.:)

Sounds like a good idea to me..the only reason i havnt been to the walpole meets or the spencer meet is due to myy slushbox tranny that i honestly dont trust for along ride. Its the last part on my car i have to fix and its just about savin up the moneyy to do it. But anyways as soon as thats good you all will see me at at least a handful of meets and i may be able to bring s few friends with shos too. Anyways i honestly think this is a good idea brought forward and could deffinitely be nice to not only have a breakfast in one spot but to check out different places and see new stuff?

I think an important thing to consider is vary the the day of the week, and times a bit.

I've just started working weekends and sundays at time an a half are hard to pass up.

And we all know getting up for a breakfast can be tough, why not a few lunches, and dinners. I know we all had a great time at your BBQ and lots stayed well into the night drinking beverages.

End of the month, middle of the month, begining of the month..

I enjoyed them regardless, and I'll make all the ones I can no matter what or where.

Thanks for the effort you both have put into it thus far.

As I mentioned at the BBQ at Ken's, I think the multi-state thing is a good idea (not that I've made one single breakfast ever, but...).

Same thing with doing a couple lunches or BBQ's too.

The BBQ at Kens was defintly top notch. Good food, beer, and good people. I know of one person in particular who was only making an appearance and stayed till the wee hours of the morning ... just goes to show it was a good time. :nut:

Funny thing is, I never saw a Mansfield cruiser until after most everyone had gone home. I think they may have thought they wre missing out on somethin'.
The imporant thing is to keep this sort of dialog going, Then see what happens when it comes to crunch time in the spring.:)

Just to let you guys know. There will be a decent sized SHO gathering in the Philly area the first weekend in January. I have posted a few preliminary pieces of information in the Club Events section.

Depending where I'm at with the house next summer and of course the groups response I might be interested in hosting a BBQ. I have a decent sized deck/yard and plenty of parking. I definitly plan on having a house warming type party/ripper anyways, so I could just expand my invites :naughty: .
