Kevin likes the factory Clutches... some people on here do.

But if you do an performance upgrades or big power adds (Nitrous/Turbo) you will need a clutch(DXD) and a diff that can hold the power!

Those big power upgrades won't be for awile most of the work will just be exhaust, intake and suspension work.

Well I just ordered the shifter bushing kit off of sho source hopefully that will help the "play" in the shifter.

Have you verified if your car has a cable or rod shifter before you ordered that kit?

Run a STOCK clutch, Either a Valeo unit or LuK repset unit. (Get the 9.75'' Kit! Not the 9.25'', Ford recalled the 9.25'' Clutches for a reason). The cost of a LuK or Valeo kit run about 220 Dollars if you shop around.

If you need help, Please let me know! I don't know how to do everything but I currently own 3 SHO's that have not exploded. That has to count for something!

Agree on the stock 9.75. Had one in my 91+ that lasted countless years of abuse with no obvious signs of wear. The PO of my current 94 had a Ford replacement installed before I bought the car and it feels just right. I still have the clutch from my 91+ as a backup just in case, so these clutches can take a fair amount of power before you really hav to upgrade IMHO.

Suprised no one mentioned this, but I would see if changing trans fluids would help with the shifting. You can drill and tap the case to make it easy. Different SHOs like different fluid. Mobil 1 is a popular one, also heard of people having good luck with Syncromesh. I found that Valvoline MaxLife worked the best in mine.

No one has mentioned this......but don't you dare change the color on a 91Mocha Plus!! Vary rare esp with only 60K! The Plus edition is rare & only in 91 could you get the Mocha color & only on the Plus model.(search 'Plus')
According to the Ford production numbers, 1351 Mocha '91s were produced, and only 152 of them were Pluses.

Oh and sam here is his...
