I got a line on a V8 parts car (guessing cam-failed) near my house at a $40 all-you can carry boneyard. im planning on pulling off the decklid and loading up everything i can onto my head and carying the whole thing out on my headl anyway. my issues for the weekend are as follows, i could use the adivce so i know which parts to pull at the boneyard.

--My power locks are jammed or something. When you actuate them in any way, via the button, the key in the door etc etc all 4 doors move, but hesitate and dont actually lock or unlock. i highly doubt i have 4 bad actuators in the car, the odds of that are kind of silly. Is this a common problem. All 4 doors lock/unlock fine manually.

I have the following codes

P1744 TCC Range/Perf
P401 EGR Flow Insuf. (bad egr im guessing...)
P1519 Secondary Intake Runners not opening (bank 1) --correct me if im wrong bank one is the rear.

I plan on pulling the control box and the acuators as well as the entire intake if its still intact on the car. Along with a bunch of interior goodies pending the car has grey interior.

Sounds like you might need a GEM. It will take some testing to see what's going on. You would need a GEM from a '99.

And a tranny.

And the EGR passage in the surge tank cleaned.

And the lower intake cleaned and probably a new IMRC actuator.

You really don't need an entire intake, there are like 300 of them at this place you might be familiar with.

Yes.

IMRC box and coils. I guess a trunk if you need one. And whatever interior parts you need. Everything else is readily available without screwing around at a junkyard.

i dont need a trunk. its just common practice to use a decklid as a carryier for all your shit as its all you can carry 1 person $40 a trip. so the plan is put the decklid on your head and have a friend load it with all the shit. you have to psyically carry EVERYTHING at once across a coned line.

Carry as in physically carry in your hands???? Why not just wear loose clothing that day, with a tight belt and stuff your shirt, pants pockets and any other hole you can think of.... (hey now watch it with the mind wandering:angelnot:) and make out like a bandit. where is this place?? I want to go

Ok...

found an IMRC unit with a broken cable.
found a duratec car with a similar unit with an unbroken cable.
took both. went home. disassembed both and swapped cables, put the new sho imrc unit in. that codes gone. drove 200 miles.

Changed egr valves and sprayed some brakleen into the egr passages and got some of the crap out.

the stutter and code are still there.
HOWEVER. after clearing codes and codes returning multiple times i DID get a Cyl 1 misfire to show up once. it hasnt come back but yeah im thinking bad coil. would a skip from a bad coil/****** idle cause a false EGR code ? i think im going after that today, as i salvaged what appear to be 3 good coils from the parts car (cyls and intake filled with coolant, she went booooom).

and yeah. the tranny. it shifts ok 90% of the time but im still dealing with that 1744 code. and driving to the girls house the O/D light started flashing, i pulled over and muldoon pretty much said if that happens im ******. invest in a trans cooler and hope that solenoid will fix the trans otherwise im looking at a trans swap.

Changing EGR valves was a waste of time. They don't fail. The passage gets clogged up. You have to remove the surge tank to clean the passage.

How the tranny shifts has nothing to do with no lockup. No lockup = high heat & poor fuel economy. High heat = bye bye tranny. Flashing O/D light = boiling ATF.
