I just wanted to know if the halfshafte here comes with everything I need to do an install. If I need a new nut or clip or anything, let me know so I can pick them up before starting. Thanks!

I have taken them in and out without replacing the snap ring many times. When u put it in you should hear the snap ring seat/click into place...if not then u need a new snap ring.

Cool,

I also advise you to replace the "C" clip, or snap ring. You will also need a new axel nut (torqued to specification), new pinch bolt and nut (pinches the ball joint stud in the steering knuckle - torque to specification).

If the cotterpin in the tie rod end is corroded, replace it (safety measure). It is a good time to check the bearing and hub, ball joint, etc.rangerj

the snap ring/circlip is not really needed. its only purpose is for assembly at the manufacturer. when the engine/transaxle arrive at the plant, the circlip is used to hold the halfshafts in the tranny. once on the car, the suspension set up keeps the halfshaft in the car. its cheaper to leave em on there than pull the halfshafts and remove the circlip at the factory. same goes for engine lift hooks.
