this car's starting to **** me off...

okay...a couple of weeks ago, the 98 somehow munched an ABS ring, thus causing the O/D light to blink continuously, the speedo not to work and the tranny to shift goofy. so i replaced the axle, removed it again to replace the output shaft seal i *****'d in the process, reset the computer, and guess what...no change except the seal still leaks. i did have to splice the sensor wire in a spot since it got squished, but that's fixed. what's the next thing i get to fix besides the seal?

...did not know that...are the sensors universal across the taurus line, or is this something i should just buy new?

they are taurus universal for the 98, the only ones that are different that i found are the rears on the wagons

 

[SHOMEX]

they are universal; any ABS sensor from 96-99 taurus should fit with no problems.
