Nice Gen 3, its crazy your a little under 250whp and running 13.4 at what 112mph? Where as a Gen 1 or 2 supercharged running 9PSI runs mid to high 13's at under 110mph. Just out of curiousity whats your 60ft time, I wonder if the Gen 3's have as big of traction issues

250 hp was due to the SuperChip shutting down my secondaries for some reason that we still don't understand since they were supposed to open earlier. I have an LSD in mine so the traction was not a major issue. The quarter times were set before the chip, just the FMU and my 60' times were floating between 2.14 and 2.62 depending on the lane I was in. I suspect that the SCT I am using now should get me back up into 400's with much better delivery.

400whp huh? How much you think the stock 3.4L can take?
I know a guy that is attempting to get 500+ out of his, of course he is dropping the compression and raising the boost a LOT (16psi?)...now whether it will hold up, I don't know, but I have a son that is putting 400+ to the ground out his 4 cylinder Plymouth Lazer (Mitsubishi Eclipse) AWD and I would hate to be humbled by my own snot-nosed kid. We'll see what she will hold up to. I have a spare motor just in case.

Funny thing about the son's car, he has cracked the bellhousing twice but the tranny keeps going, but the way he drives it I don't suspect for much longer.
My tranny on the other hand has been built up with an LSD by SHOFast and so far seems to be holding up. I had a custom torque converter made locally by a guy that specializes in circle track cars. My only concern now is the CV joints as they are the only stock component besides the strut/hub assemblies in the drivline.

Nope. Getting the intake modified tomorrow. Still need to get the other IMRC drilled out for the new injectors but I still need to get a special bit made for the counter sinking.

ArkanSHO, let me just say that I think that GenIII Tauri are pretty ugly. The SHO models were a little better looking.

But yours is just plain amazing. I have never been so attracted to a Taurus in my life! What a badass car! Nice choice of rims, too.

I may have missed something in this thread... this is an air to water intercooler, correct? Are you cooling it with your stock cooling system? Wont that be running 180 degree temps through the intercooler? I'm a little confused.

Thank you. The intercooler has it's own supply of coolant with a reservior and pump.

Is the pump electric? Maybe that's a dumb question...

What are the expected temps from this particular intercooler and do you feel it is as effective as a standard air-to-air intercooler?
