Just out of curiosity, what was your cleaner of choice for the underhood transformation? Looks like new!

I've had all shades of cars. Except for the high end and Euro stuff. All my musclecars were non numbers matching on purpose. So I could run the shit out of them. If it's fast, chances are I owned one. I'm in my late 50s and am trying to own all the cool stuff I couldn't own earlier in life because of family, etc. This is a 1971 LT-1 car. Not stock. At all. Eye candy!

Caught my breath for a second. I had a 71 that looked identical right to the color and rims other than mine was a 454.

Super easy. Gunk, spray not foam, rinse, dry, Meguire's Tire Shine High Gloss. Keep the Gunk off the paint. It doesn't like that. Gunk it and rinse quickly. I didn't use a brush on anything.

I had the Edelbrock cam, heads, intake package on a 10.5:1 motor. MSD, headers. It ran pretty well. The car was really clean as the guy I bought it from had owned it since 1981. If you want to see a vid of it, here's one.

Cool! You must auto-cross. With the suspension mods I've made the car handles extremely well is what I was trying to say. We've all had very good handling cars. I've had drag cars too. The mantra in that genre is, "If you're not breaking, you're not pushing your car to its limits." You breaking stuff? That's the true test I think.

I AutoX at times, but mostly road course.

I like. My first slot car of note was that model Vette, so I still have a soft spot for them.

I can't stand to sit through entire videos anymore, but the sub 9 second SHO was pretty awesome. The hood coming off was sort of the ultimate "win the race and fall apart across the finish line" move. :eeeeeek:

Nice ive been restoring a 73, 406 stroker. Ive been bouncing around a 90 miata, 90 sho and 73 vette restore for past year or so... So i picked up a hood and fenders earlier in they year. And yea these fiberglass cars are way to hard to match up parts lol. I had to use the original hood and have it made into a cowl induction. Heres 2 cruddy pics i happen to have on my phone now. Ill have to get more when i take it out next.

I want those sidepipes! Way cool! What kills me about the Vette is that the carb is higher than the fender!
