alright, so I was replacing the gasket, and thermostat because I had a small leak in the area. I overtightened the nut on the stud and broke it off, I was able to use vice grips to get the stud out but now I can't find one.... anyone have any suggestions where to get one?

AutoZone. They should have an assortment of studs in a metal box behind the counter. Take the old stud and one of the nuts with you in case the two sides of the stud are different.

Mind you, it's been 8 or 9 years since I found this out, so things have had plenty of time to change.

I did the same thing, I just took the stud off a parts car. Find some one in your area area that has a parts car/motor or maybe check a Napa store
